The theme of this magazine is "muse," honoring female "muses" in our lives and their many interests, passions, and talents. This edition was highly collaborative — I had the opportunity to work with really incredible editors, designers, and a co-design director to bring this idea to life.
Leading a team of 17 designers, I learned a lot about communication, organization, and leadership and was able to really nail down the critique process. I assigned each designer one or two articles and worked closely with them over the course of a month through a four draft process, in which I met with them weekly to offer critiques, empathize with their vision, and build beautiful pages.
We faced challenges this semester with a scaling back in page size, last-minute changes, and new leadership, but we met these challenges with creativity and adaptability, learning together along the way.
