I was tasked with creating a brand from scratch, concept to completion. Beginning with market research and ideation, I came up with the concept for Loom, a company that offers weekly fabric box delivery for fashion designers and creatives. I outlined the brand's vision, mission, and tone, which became the baseline of all creative materials. I sketched a variety of logo designs before settling on two, a logomark and a wordmark. In process of creating brand guidelines, I outlined proper usage, color combos, and sizing of the logos, and chose the brand colors and typefaces. I also created custom patterns for mock-ups of what the actual product might look like. I designed four packaging variations based on different themed boxes, as well as a variety of merchandise and promotional materials including advertisements, a social media launch, business cards, and an interactive app prototype in Figma.
This project was an exercise in not only building brand guidelines but working within those constraints to create promotional materials for a variety of different mediums. This was also my first time working with Figma, which was a great opportunity to get to know the program prior to taking UX/UI design.
